I visited Paris in May 2013, on work. Though most of the week that I'd spend there would be on job, I was optimistic that I'd be able to take in some of the famous sights of Paris, and I was not disappointed.
Paris, from the skies.
I thought that this was Charles De Gaulle, the airport we were bound for. Turned out to be Orly.
I saw this lovely '68 Volvo P1800 on the streets of Paris! Funnily enough, I haven't spotted this car on the streets of Sweden yet!
The '68 Volvo P1800.
The Eiffel tower, seen on the way to my conference venue. I hoped to be able to see it up close!
The Pantheon. Too bad I didn't photograph it from the front.
The Saint Etienne-du-Mont
First look at the river Seine.
Church of Saint Francis Xavier, near Les Invalides.
Les Invalides, the final resting place of Napoleon Bonaparte.
The Eiffel tower! Getting closer now!
Wow! That is indeed tall!
I took the elevator to the very top! Needless to say, I was very excited!
The cathedral of Notre Dame.

Another look at the cathedral of Notre Dame.
Hotel Dieu, the oldest hospital in Paris. Yes, it's a hospital, not a hotel!
There wasn't enough time to explore the famous crypt of the cathedral at Notre Dame. We had to make a dash to the metro station, to catch the train to the airport.
