Winds of Change

Nothing endures but change.
- Lives of the Philosophers by Diogenes Laertius.
Changes mean a lot of different things to different people.  While some go out looking for changes constantly,  others embrace them when then need to and some outright shy away.  The reasons for changes are as numerous as the reactions of people, towards changes.  Some are engineered, some are expected, some come whipping out of the blue,  taking one completely unawares.  Some of the changes are pleasant, and probably more often than not, they are not.  Irrespective of whether the changes are engineered or not, sought or not,  welcome or not,  changes bring about, well, changes!  Irrespective of the nature of the change, to me, it means winds blowing in a new direction,  a call for course-corrections, recalibration, readjustments,  and the prospect of new challenges.  True, it often calls for letting go of one's comfort zones and jumping into uncharted waters, but that's a big part of the challenge!

After five years of an incredibly enriching journey at the National PARAM Supercomputing Center, C-DAC Pune,  I've signed on for new challenges at the National Supercomputer Center, Linköping, Sweden. I'll be starting my new job as a System Expert, from the 1st of January, 2013. I'm thankful to all my colleagues at C-DAC for all the wonderful memories and experiences over the past five years.

My boss, Dr. Sandeep Joshi, merits special mention for being so much more than just a boss.  Sir, you have truly been an inspiration.  I'll always keep your words of advice close to my heart and will continue striving to achieve more.

My friends Ankit Dangi,  and  need special mention too! They've been my rocks of Gibraltar, providing me help and advice, whenever I've needed it. I hope to be able to emulate you guys when it comes to being there for people who are in need of help, when they are in need of help. You guys truly rock!

My guru, Radha Madam, without whose help and support I'd probably never even have started my journey with computer programming.  Apart from programming, she's the one who taught me that with dedication and sustained interest, one can achieve anything. Ma'am, you are the best there is! May there be more like you!
That's all for now! Watch this space for more updates!
