My desk at my workplace is usually cluttered with things, but having finally gotten around to clearing it all up just the day before, I was expecting to see a hermetically bare, white desk surface when I got there this morning. However, this morning, the desk was not bare, as I'd left it: There was a red envelope sitting on that desk, waiting for me. I knew immediately that it had to be the card which Donna aka had said she'd mailed to me, on the 10th of this month. A quick glance at the recipient info the front and the sender's address on the back confirmed that it was indeed my mail and yes, it was from her! Oh, was I excited! It'd been ages since anybody had actually written me a real, postal mail of the paper and pen variety and I'd just begun to worry a little, wondering whether the card had been lost in transit! However, here it was, right there on my desk, delivered just fine! I quickly found a paper-knife and cut it open eagerly, and my! I found myself looking at a beautiful card with a wonderfully warm, handwritten message within! Donna, you really made my day! I wish you a wonderful Christmas and a very happy new year too!
