I was at a loss as to what to write in my first post here at LJ and so turned to the most easily remembered line of greeting that programmers identify with, and so here I am. Hello world!

Im a pretty new entrant into the world of blogging. I always used to think that it was a loss of privacy and just a means of trading inane gossip and many of the blogs owned by my friends seemed to prove me right. However, I happened to read a couple of really good ones by sheer accident, and got totally hooked! I created my first blog account ot blogspot.com titled as nestedminds (nestedminds.blogspot.com). Blogspot, while probably nowhere as powerful as LJ looks a lot more simpler and is definetly more easy to use. LJ seems more like a geek’s version of a blog! It took me a good hour or so just to figure out many of options that were available for me at LJ, but one of the best things I liked about LJ straight away is the ability to gist blogs, thereby giving a real newspaper like feel to the blog. Hoping to have a nice time here at LJ. Happy new year!
